- The Annual Picnic for Students, 2024

- Teachers’ Day Celebration, 2024
On November 30th, 2024, the students of Class XII from The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC organized a special Teacher’s Day celebration to honour their educators. The event was filled with various activities, including performances, speeches, and heartfelt tributes. Students expressed their gratitude and appreciation through skits, songs, and dance performances, highlighting the vital role teachers play in shaping their futures. - Prize Distribution Ceremony, 2023-2024
On November 24th, 2024, The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC conducted the prize distribution ceremony to honour the achievers from Class XII and the ISC 2024 toppers for their outstanding academic performance along with students who achieved excellence through their efforts in co-curricular activities. Students were also awarded during the ceremony for having hundred percent attendance in the academic session 2023-2024. The Management and the teachers congratulated the students for their hard work and dedication. Medals, books, and certificates were awarded to the top performers, celebrating their achievements in front of the entire school. The event emphasized the importance of perseverance and excellence, and the students were praised for their commitment to success. It was a proud moment for both the achievers and the school community.
- Display of Arms and Ammunition
Students from Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC visited Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society College on November 20, 2024, to attend a display of arms and ammunition organized at Fort William. The event showcased various military weapons, including rifles, machine guns, and grenades, with military experts explaining their functions and significance. The students had the opportunity to interact with the experts, gaining insights into the technology, safety protocols, and the role of the Indian Army in national defence. The visit provided an educational and engaging experience, fostering respect for the armed forces and raising awareness about national security.
- Inter-Class Drama Competition 2024
On October 4, 2024, The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC hosted an interclass drama competition featuring Class XI students performing scenes from William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.” The event showcased the students’ talents and creativity, as they brought the classic tragedy to life through powerful performances. Each class selected key scenes, including the witches’ introduction, Lady Macbeth’s relentless ambition, and Macbeth’s descent into ambitious thoughts. The students displayed impressive acting skills, effectively conveying the play’s intense emotions and themes of power and guilt.
The atmosphere was electric, with peers and teachers eagerly supporting the performers. - Poster Making and Planting Medicinal Plants
On 3rd October, 2024, as part of Environmental Studies (EVS) project, students of Class XI at Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC engaged in a poster-making activity and the planting of medicinal plants. The poster-making focused on raising awareness about the conservation of medicinal plants in maintaining health and preserving biodiversity. Additionally, the students planted various medicinal plants on the school campus, promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility. This hands-on project allowed students to connect with nature, while also learning about the therapeutic benefits of plants and their role in traditional medicine.
- Chess Championship 2024
On 30th September 2024, The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC hosted an exhilarating chess tournament for Class XI students, divided into two groups: boys and girls. The event aimed to promote strategic thinking and sportsmanship among the students.
The tournament commenced with several preliminary rounds, each filled with intense competition and keen focus. Participants demonstrated exceptional skills, employing a range of strategies to out manoeuvre their opponents. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as students gathered to support their peers, creating a vibrant community spirit.
- Football Championship 2024
On September 30, 2024, The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC hosted an exciting football tournament between Classes XI and XII. Each class competed fiercely in initial matches, showcasing their skills, teamwork, and determination. After several rounds of intense competition, the standout teams, XI B and XII C, emerged as finalists. Both teams demonstrated exceptional talent, with XI B utilizing quick passes and strategic plays, while XII C relied on solid defence and effective counterattacks. The semi-final matches were thrilling, with nail-biting moments that kept the audience on the edge of their seats.
The final match was the highlight of the day, attracting enthusiastic spectators who cheered for their teams. Players from both sides displayed remarkable sportsmanship and skill. Ultimately, XIIC clinched the victory with a close score, earning the championship title.
The tournament not only fostered a spirit of competition but also strengthened camaraderie among students, making it a memorable event in the school’s sports calendar. The day ended with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the efforts and talents of all participants.
- Green Conscience 2024
On September 27, 2024, The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC organized an awareness program for Class XI and XII students focused on waste management and sustainable development. Students were encouraged to bring in dry waste, categorized into paper, plastic, e-waste, and metal. This initiative aimed to promote environmental responsibility and educate students about the importance of recycling and waste segregation.
During the event, two students, Disha Gandhi (XII A) and Vikram Saluja (XII D), delivered insightful speeches on sustainable development, emphasizing the need for collective action to combat environmental challenges. They highlighted the significance of reducing waste and adopting sustainable practices in daily life.
The program concluded with a collection of the brought waste materials, which were later handed over to local recycling centres. This initiative not only enhanced awareness about waste management but also fostered a sense of responsibility among students, inspiring them to contribute positively to the environment.
- Independance Day 2024
On August 15, 2024, students of Class XI and XII at Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School celebrated Independence Day with vibrant cultural performances. The event featured traditional dances, patriotic songs, and skits that highlighted India’s rich heritage and freedom struggle. Students dressed in colourful attire showcased their talents, captivating the audience with energetic routines and heartfelt presentations. The celebration concluded with a poignant speech reflecting on the significance of independence, fostering a sense of pride and unity among students. Overall, the event was a memorable tribute to the nation’s journey, emphasizing the importance of freedom and cultural diversity.
- Yuvakarshan 2024
Yuvakarshan, a vibrant fest organized by DPS Newtown, took place on July 25 and 26, 2024, showcasing the talents of students from Classes XI and XII. The event featured a diverse array of competitions, including quizzes, fashion shows, and advertising challenges, encouraging creativity and teamwork among participants. Participants expressed their creativity through thematic concepts, impressing judges with their originality and confidence on stage. This event fostered collaboration and practical learning, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. Yuvakarshan was not only a platform for competition but also a celebration of camaraderie and school spirit. The fest concluded with an award ceremony, recognizing outstanding performances and encouraging all participants to continue exploring their talents.
- Young Chef 2024
On July 5, 2024, Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC hosted its annual cooking competition, “Young Chef,” for Class XII students. The event aimed to foster culinary skills and creativity among students, encouraging them to explore their passion for cooking. The competition featured diverse participants who prepared a variety of dishes, showcasing both traditional and contemporary cuisines. - Adelaide Interschool Quiz Competition
On 9th July, 2024, Students from Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC participated in the Adelaide Interschool Quiz, a prestigious competition among reputed schools in Kolkata. The quiz tested students’ knowledge across a wide range of subjects, including general knowledge, current affairs, science, and history. Competing against some of the best schools in the city, the students showcased their quick thinking and teamwork. The event provided an excellent platform for intellectual exchange and fostered a spirit of healthy competition among participants, enhancing their overall academic and cognitive skills.
- ACCA Seminar
On 28th June, 2024, students from Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School attended an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) seminar aimed at providing insights into the world of professional accounting and finance. The seminar covered key topics such as the ACCA qualification process, career opportunities in accounting, and the skills required to succeed in the global financial sector. Industry experts shared valuable advice and experiences, helping students understand the importance of professional certifications and the role of accountants in various industries. The seminar proved to be an informative session, motivating students to pursue careers in accounting and finance.
- Indoor Games Tournament 2024
On March 16th, students of The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) participated in three categories of games namely, Carrom, Chess and Table Tennis. The students aced the games arena with the strategic brilliance in chess, deft rallies in table tennis and sharp precision in carrom. The students revelled in great joy, spirit and enthusiasm leaving them eager for the next competition.
- Olympiad 2023
The Olympiad was conducted in The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) by The Silverzone Foundation, New Delhi in the month of November. Many students participated in the various categories which included Computer, Math, English, Science and Reasoning. Jatin Rajani, Koushiki Sarkar, Debangshi Paswan were awarded with Special Achievement Certificates in the English category along with Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals respectively. The winners in the Computer category included Diti Shah, Dhruvi Mehta and Radhika Doshi, they received the Special Achievement Certificates along with Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals respectively. Diti Shah, Subhasini Das, Debangshi Paswan were also awarded the Special Achievement Certificates along with the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal respectively in the Reasoning and Aptitude category.
- Agomoni Programme 2023
The Pre-Puja Cultural program was held on the 16th of October in The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC). The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp after which the students put up a vibrant dance show, followed by a beautiful melodic performance by the teachers which touched the souls and the spirits of all those present. The program had been organised in collaboration with The Bhawanipur Design Academy, who put on a spectacular Fashion Show, and the program set the mood for everyone going into the festive season.
- IIHM – Young Chef 2023
Young Chef Competition: The students participated in the young Chef competition organized by IIHM on the 24th of September. The Students were selected for the finals where they did a good job. It was a great culinary experience for them.
Teacher Chef Competition: The teachers also participated in the Teacher chef competition and bagged prizes.
- Interclass Dance Competition 2023
The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) organised an Interclass Dance Competition held on 14th September in which the students battled it out by showing everyone their unique moves. The theme of this competition was cultural and so the students were seen sparkling and grooving in their cultural attires. The competition was fierce and close with Class XI Science taking the title of the winners and XI C2 of the 1st Runners Up.
- Independence Day 2023
The students of the ISC Department celebrated the 76th year of Independence on the 15th of August around the theme of “Nation First, Always First”. The students performed with high spirits and forged a vibe that was filled with exhilaration and vivaciousness and their performance instilled a sense of national pride amongst all those present. The celebrations were marked with the joy and vibrancy that was felt amongst all present and left everyone feeling more unified than before.
- Albert Barrow Essay Competition 2023
Students of The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) participated in this prestigious essay writing competition which was held on the 14th of July. Their literary spirit shone bright in the competition as they wrote these essays and enjoyed their way through the competition.
- Frank Anthony Memorial Debate 2023
On July 10, 2023, in Sarat Sadan, Howrah, the “FRANK ANTHONY MEMORIAL ALL-INDIA INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE COMPETITION-2023” took place. The event was held by St. Thomas’ Church School, Howrah. There were eight schools that took part in this competition. “SOCIAL MEDIA GIVES NO SCOPE FOR REAL PEERS” was the subject assigned to the students.
- Republic Day Celebration 2023
Republic Day is celebrated every year by our institute to uphold the spirit if the Constitution and in keeping with this, the students this year also actively participated in the day’s celebrations with great enthusiasm and fervor. The celebrations on the 26th of January began with the hoisting of the flag followed by the march past of NCC cadets and various other performances such as Fashion show, quiz session and more followed through the day.
- Phy-Seeks 2023
On 2Oth January 2023 the students of The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) participated in PHY-SEEKS 2023 organised by the Adamas University. They participated in three categories namely quiz in which they secured first position and model and poster presentation.
- Annual Exhibition – Envision 2023
The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) organised “ENVISION” a 2-day exhibition on the 13th and the 14th of January, 2023.A brief inaugural and felicitation ceremony was held after which the students moved to their respective stalls. The stalls were prepared on the basis of subjects which included both English Language and Literature groups, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Accounts, Environmental Science and more. A stall to show the culinary expertise of the students was also set up. The students under the guidance of their teachers prepared and put their heart and soul in these exhibits and their creative streak shined through.
- Annual Intra-school Football Tournament 2022
The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) had organised the Annual Intraschool Football Tournament 2022 for Class XII from 1.07.22 to 29.07.22. A total of 14 teams had participated, comprising 91 students. Class XII C participants had won the tournament while Class XII D participants were the Runners Up.
- Annual Intra-school Kho Kho Tournament 2022
The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) had organised the Annual Intraschool Kho-Kho Tournament 2022 for Class XII from 22.07.22 to 29.07.22. A total of 8 teams had participated, comprising 64 students. The winner of the tournament was Team A comprising participants from Class XII A, Class XII B2, Class XII D and Class XII E. Team G comprising participants from Class XII E was the Runner-Up.

The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) had participated in the ASISC Painting Competition (West Bengal Chapter) on 5.08.22. It was organised by ASISC. Kuhely Roy of Class XII D had participated in the competition.
ASISC QUIZ COMPETITION 2022
The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) had participated in the ASISC Quiz Competition (West Bengal Chapter) on 6.08.22. It was organised by ASISC. Aayush Desai and Yash Patani of Class XII A had participated in the competition.
ASISC DEBATE COMPETITION 2022
The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) had participated in the ASISC Debate Competition (West Bengal Chapter) on 10.08.22. It was organised by ASISC, 47 schools across West Bengal and the North Eastern states had participated. Aryan Amolia of Class XII A and Heeya Pabari of Class XII C secured the second position in the competition.

The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) had presented a dance performance, themed “Peace out of Chaos”, in the Independence Day Celebration.GESS celebrated Independence Day on 15.08.2022.
