    The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) demonstrated remarkable talent and competitive spirit at the highly-anticipated inter-school fest, MPBLITZ, hosted by M.P. Birla H.S. School on August 1st and 2nd. The two-day event brought together students from various schools across Kolkata for a vibrant display of skills and creativity across a wide range of categories. Students from The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their abilities in a diverse array of events. The school’s dedication and preparation were rewarded with outstanding results. The team secured the prestigious title of First Runner-Up in three major events: Drama, Eastern Dance, and Fashion. Further individual recognition was bestowed upon Vaibhav Moralia of Class XII D, who was awarded the coveted title of Best Actor for his stellar performance in the Drama competition, an accomplishment that brought immense pride to the school.

    14th July, 2025- The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) had the distinct honour of hosting the prestigious Frank Anthony Debate Competition, a significant event in the inter-school academic calendar.     10th July, 2025- Students from The Bhawanipur Gujarati Educational Society School (ISC) recently undertook an impactful initiative to raise awareness about healthy eating habits within the school. Their project focused on the critical importance of reducing sugar consumption for better health. As part of this endeavour, the EVS students meticulously created a “Sugar Board,” a visual display designed to highlight the hidden sugar content in common food items. The initiative served as a practical and effective way to promote health consciousness and responsible eating habits among the school community.

    3rd July,2025 -The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) organised an annual prize distribution ceremony which was held on 3rd July, 2025, to honour the academic achievements of the former Class XI students. The event, a vibrant display of talent and intellect, also featured an engaging intra-school quiz competition for Class XII. The ceremony opened with a stunning classical dance performance, setting a celebratory tone. The Vice-Principal’s address underscored the importance of dedication and hard work, inspiring the students to continue striving for excellence. The main event was the prize distribution, where deserving Class XII students received certificates and trophies for their outstanding performance in their Class XI final examinations. The Jubilee Hall at The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society College vibrated with joyous celebration as The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) commemorated its Silver Jubilee Celebration.     The students of Class XII of The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC orchestrated a vibrant and successful “Food Mela” on 26th of April, transforming the school grounds into a delightful culinary carnival.   • Non-Fire Cooking Activity 2025
    A unique and engaging non-fire cooking activity recently unfolded at The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC), commencing with an exciting inter-team competition. Six teams initially vied for the top spot across three rounds themed around “First Light Flavours” and “Moonlight Meals,” showcasing their culinary ingenuity without the use of heat. Team comprising Vanshika Desai, Keshvi Vora, Dhara Mehta, and Shreya Gupta emerged victorious, demonstrating exceptional skill and creativity. Building on this initial success, the competition has evolved into a dynamic weekly activity. Every Saturday, two different groups of students now take on the challenge of preparing dishes using only non-fire cooking techniques. Their creations are meticulously evaluated based on several key criteria: presentation, plating aesthetics, innovative use of ingredients, and the overall health benefits of their dishes.     The Cricket Tournament organized by Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School for the XI boys in January 2025 was a highly anticipated and competitive event.     On November 24th, 2024, The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC conducted the prize distribution ceremony to honour the achievers from Class XII and the ISC 2024 toppers for their outstanding academic performance along with students who achieved excellence through their efforts in co-curricular activities. Students were also awarded during the ceremony for having hundred percent attendance in the academic session 2023-2024. The Management and the teachers congratulated the students for their hard work and dedication. Medals, books, and certificates were awarded to the top performers, celebrating their achievements in front of the entire school.     On 3rd October, 2024, as part of Environmental Studies (EVS) project, students of Class XI at Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC engaged in a poster-making activity and the planting of medicinal plants. The poster-making focused on raising awareness about the conservation of medicinal plants in maintaining health and preserving biodiversity. Additionally, the students planted various medicinal plants on the school campus, promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility.     On September 30, 2024, The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC hosted an exciting football tournament between Classes XI and XII. Each class competed fiercely in initial matches, showcasing their skills, teamwork, and determination. After several rounds of intense competition, the standout teams, XI B and XII C, emerged as finalists. Both teams demonstrated exceptional talent, with XI B utilizing quick passes and strategic plays, while XII C relied on solid defence and effective counterattacks. The semi-final matches were thrilling, with nail-biting moments that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. The final match was the highlight of the day, attracting enthusiastic spectators who cheered for their teams. Players from both sides displayed remarkable sportsmanship and skill. Ultimately, XIIC clinched the victory with a close score, earning the championship title.     On September 27, 2024, The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC organized an awareness program for Class XI and XII students focused on waste management and sustainable development. Students were encouraged to bring in dry waste, categorized into paper, plastic, e-waste, and metal. This initiative aimed to promote environmental responsibility and educate students about the importance of recycling and waste segregation.   During the event, two students, Disha Gandhi (XII A) and Vikram Saluja (XII D), delivered insightful speeches on sustainable development, emphasizing the need for collective action to combat environmental challenges. They highlighted the significance of reducing waste and adopting sustainable practices in daily life. The program concluded with a collection of the brought waste materials, which were later handed over to local recycling centres. This initiative not only enhanced awareness about waste management but also fostered a sense of responsibility among students, inspiring them to contribute positively to the environment.

    Yuvakarshan, a vibrant fest organized by DPS Newtown, took place on July 25 and 26, 2024, showcasing the talents of students from Classes XI and XII. The event featured a diverse array of competitions, including quizzes, fashion shows, and advertising challenges, encouraging creativity and teamwork among participants. Participants expressed their creativity through thematic concepts, impressing judges with their originality and confidence on stage. This event fostered collaboration and practical learning, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. Yuvakarshan was not only a platform for competition but also a celebration of camaraderie and school spirit.     On July 5, 2024, Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC hosted its annual cooking competition, “Young Chef,” for Class XII students.   • Adelaide Interschool Quiz Competition
    On 9th July, 2024, Students from Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School ISC participated in the Adelaide Interschool Quiz, a prestigious competition among reputed schools in Kolkata. The quiz tested students’ knowledge across a wide range of subjects, including general knowledge, current affairs, science, and history. Competing against some of the best schools in the city, the students showcased their quick thinking and teamwork. The event provided an excellent platform for intellectual exchange and fostered a spirit of healthy competition among participants, enhancing their overall academic and cognitive skills.
  • ACCA Seminar
    On 28th June, 2024, students from Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School attended an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) seminar aimed at providing insights into the world of professional accounting and finance. The seminar covered key topics such as the ACCA qualification process, career opportunities in accounting, and the skills required to succeed in the global financial sector. Industry experts shared valuable advice and experiences, helping students understand the importance of professional certifications and the role of accountants in various industries. The seminar proved to be an informative session, motivating students to pursue careers in accounting and finance.  
  • Indoor Games Tournament 2024
    On March 16th, students of The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) participated in three categories of games namely, Carrom, Chess and Table Tennis. The students aced the games arena with the strategic brilliance in chess, deft rallies in table tennis and sharp precision in carrom. The students revelled in great joy, spirit and enthusiasm leaving  them eager for the next competition.
  • Olympiad 2023
    The Olympiad was conducted in The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society School (ISC) by The Silverzone Foundation, New Delhi in the month of November. Many students participated in the various categories which included Computer, Math, English, Science and Reasoning. Jatin Rajani, Koushiki Sarkar, Debangshi Paswan were awarded with Special Achievement Certificates in the English category along with Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals respectively. The winners in the Computer category included Diti Shah, Dhruvi Mehta and Radhika Doshi, they received the Special Achievement Certificates along with Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals respectively. Diti Shah, Subhasini Das, Debangshi Paswan were also awarded the Special Achievement Certificates along with the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal respectively in the Reasoning and Aptitude category.
